Sooooo this is a bit of a strange slash awesome post. I was going to put up the rest of the photos from the wedding yesterday, but I didn’t have time to edit them. I haven’t been home at all today, with church and shopping for a new dress for my birthday. :)
Anyways, so the semi final for the Rugby world cup was on tonight. It was Australia vs New Zealand. Sadly to say that Aus didn’t win. But, I’m going to be honest here and say that I am starting to get into sports in Australia and I am understanding them more. I really enjoy it. My absolute favourite past of the game tonight, or any game that NZ plays in, is when they do the Haka. The Haka is a traditional ancestral war cry, dance or challenge from the Māori people of New Zealand, which has become more familiar worldwide because the New Zealand rugby union team All Blacks perform a haka before every game. It is so awesome. Maybe its because I am a dancer that I enjoy it, or maybe its just because its awesome. I just love how all the team participate in it and are so passionate about it. It looks like it really pumps them up for the game!
I thought I would educate the Americans out there that don’t know a thing about rugby ha. Which was me before I married an Aussie. Check out…..THE HAKA!
