Europe Trip: Zakynthos, Greece

Zakynthos is one of the least touristy island in Greece. It is on the western side further away from the majority of the other Greek Isles.

I have never seen more blue or clear water than I have seen in Zakynthos. Most of our days spent here we were in the water, hence all the photos!

This place was paradise.

Europe Trip: Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast is a place I have always dreamt of visiting so I was stoked when we could work it into our travels. It was so different to what I expected, but incredible nonetheless. There is only one road the gets you in and out of Amalfi Coast. This road is so crazy. It is the size of a normal one lane highway road but two way traffic is meant to pass each other. And don’t forget that this road in on the side of a mountain and huge semi trucks drive down this road. Hubby and I had rented a car so it was a nail biting drive up there!

We stayed in a little village called, Scala. It isn’t touristy at all, which was PERFECT. We used Air bnb to find this place so we didn’t know the hosts, but they were so welcoming! One of the nights we had wine and olive oil that they had homemade!

Europe Trip: Cinque Terre

After London, it was time for some major relaxation at the beach. I had only heard about this place about a month earlier, but once I googled it I HAD to visit CInque Terre, Italy. It is unique because the five (Cinque) cities (Terre) are built literally on the cliffside and each one has their own unique feel and vibe. If you’re game you can also hike between all five of them.

This is at our hotel in one of the cities called Monterosso…look at the view, crazytown!

Europe Trip: London {part 2}

Our time in London was unforgettable, and because we were here for more than a week we had plenty of time to take things slow but also see lots of iconic places. Our good friends Kevin and Sydney, aka “Kidney”, happened to be in London  at the same time as us as part of their world trip, which they have dubbed Lingberries vs The World. Our first stop, naturally, was coffee. We had heard of this place called Workshop from a number of people so decided to taste it for ourselves…more to come on this soon. After coffee we rode the tube, like true Londeners, to Portobello Markets, like true tourists. It was a very cute market, just very crowded.

After saying farewell to Kidney + friends, Hubby and I continued to check off our London list by seeing Big Ben and the London Eye.

Europe Trip: London {part 1}

Well, London….where do I start? I absolutely loved London!

First of all, one of the main reasons I went was to dance in a Conference for our church, Hillsong Conference. It was so great to be able to be apart of this Conference in London, as I normally am involved in Sydney.

Apart from rehearsals, Hubby and I got to see a little bit of London. It really reminded me of Sydney which is probably why I liked it! London feels very regal and posh, from Big Ben to the Buckingham Palace. The best part was that we got to be there during the birth of the royal baby!! The atmosphere in the city was amazing. We visited the hospital 2 hours (we found out later) after Kate had the baby and you would not believe how much media was there ready for something to happen!

Europe Trip: Oslo

Our trip has taken us to one of the furthest spots away from Australia….Norway. My good friend from college, Daz, was there to welcome the husband and I. He even let us stay in his dad’s gym which has a big open space with mirrors. I may have used it as a dance studio every morning!

Daz showed us all around this city of his! He should definitely start a business, because he was the best tour guide!! Thanks DAZ!!!!

Oslo-1Oslo001 Tim Wendelboe has won world barista competitions and we got the opportunity to try his coffee while in Oslo. It was amazing!!! Europe Trip: Stockholm

Stockholm, I love you! This city was definitely a win in every way possible. The food, the fashion, the vibe was just so amazing. Stockholm it seems is leading the way when it comes to eating gluten free, there were options everywhere which made me like a kid in a candy shop! And the fashion! Can I just say if I could marry a store it would be ‘Weekday‘. If you ever get the chance to visit this place take it!Stockholm-1

I did a little photo shoot in Stockholm for my friend over at Boheme Bimbo. I have loved wearing these shorts throughout Europe, they are such a great piece to have. These hot little things are on sale over on their website. So go get yourself some of these and some of the other cute items!

Europe Trip: Prague

Coming from Switzerland, Prague was a breath of fresh air as we could actually afford to eat out!! However it was the buildings in Prague that amazed me the most with so much history and beauty.

We first made our way to the Prague Castle which is right in the city and amazing, but, if you have access to rent a car, its worth it to take a trip to Karlstejn Castle. This place was phenomenal, like from a fairy tale and is a lot less touristy. The drive getting there is incredible as well.

On the way to Karlstejn Castle we accidentally took a wrong turn and it ended up taking us through this beautiful forest on this tiny, narrow road. Best detour ever.Prague-17 Prague-18 Prague-19 Prague-20 Prague-21 Prague-22 Prague-23 Prague-24 Prague-25

Europe Trip: Switzerland

After a few days in Zurich Switzerland, we decided to take the train down to the other side of the country to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn. After we got to Zermatt you have to take a trip in the highest cable car in Europe up to the top of the 3883 metre high Klein Matterhorn. Let me just tell you it was the scariest cable car ride ever as you climb straight up these mountains. But, once you get to the top it is the most breathtaking view of the Swiss, French and Italian Alps! Definitely a must to do once in your life!

Barcelona was right up my alley – warm weather, beaches and a laid back attitude. I came here to escape the rain from the northern countries. Best decision ever!
